Salisbury Storage Units – Your Questions
The beautiful cathedral city of Salisbury has been through some testing times over the past year. Now, 12 months after the horrific Skripal poisonings that brought it to a standstill in 2018, Salisbury has been declared safe. Whilst it’s been ‘business as usual’ for quite a while now, it’s good to know that residents can finally move on.
Whatever the world events impinging on Salisbury, the need for storage units appears to stay pretty constant. The Schepens Self Storage team see a diverse use of our local storage facilities, from stashing hobby equipment, to storing retail stock and saving beloved furniture from the local recycling plant. Hire periods are also varied, from a week or two, to months, or even years.
Checking Out Your Salisbury Storage Unit Provider
Despite the growing popularity of self storage across the UK, many of our first-timers are understandably wary. Handing over your prized possessions, or your business archive, to a stranger is no mean feat. That’s why our friendly Salisbury Self Storage team are always available to answer your questions, and explain how self storage works.
We thought we’d share some of the questions that turn up most frequently:
Are Salisbury Storage Units Safe?
This is always top of the list, which is why we take such care to ensure the security of our local storage facility. The safety of your goods is our prime concern, and for this reason, we provide the following:
- 24 hour CCTV coverage of the facility
- Electronic gates
- Unique key code access
- Staff on site
Who has Access to my Storage Unit?
Nobody but you. Your goods are sealed in transit, and once they’re stored on site only you will have access. We use single use access codes to regulate entry, and regular inspections ensure that none of the units are touched or tampered with. Our Salisbury site is secured with CCTV coverage, security gates and an alarm system.
What Can Storage Units Be Used For?
There’s so many things you can store, it’s probably easier to list the things you can’t. It’s illegal to store drugs, illegal chemicals, dangerous weapons, or explosives for obvious reasons. We would also rule out any food stuffs, or items that are likely to rot or perish. If you have any concerns about whether your items can be stored, just call our self storage team for expert advice on 01722 730010.
